Stewardship Update
Defying Gravity: Soaring into Hope
Thank you to all of you who have diligently considered and submitted your financial commitment for 2022 during our recent stewardship campaign.
As of November 23, Peace has received 40 commitments totaling $130,624, or 49% of our budget goal for 2022. Rental revenue may cover another 12% of our budget. We’re not out of the woods yet. If you haven’t already done so, make your commitment NOW so the Finance Committee will have a realistic budget to present at our All-Church Conference on December 5:
* Go online—see the Participant page on our website for links to a commitment form and an instructional video for how to create or update a recurring donation in SimpleChurch, or
* Talk to a member of the Finance Committee in the Commons after worship on Sunday.
Make your dollars go farther – If you haven’t yet considered making automatic recurring payments through our SimpleChurch online giving program, this is a great time to jump onboard. For every gift from a new recurring donor that is added between Nov 1 and Dec 31, with the first payment made in December, SimpleChurch will match that first gift, up to $50 per gift, with a maximum of $1000 for our church.
Remember to update your bank or other financial institution (including SimpleChurch) if you are already making automatic recurring payments and you decide to increase or otherwise change the amount of your payments in 2022. Submitting the commitment form to us does not constitute a financial arrangement for transfer of funds to Peace.
Our first draft of the budget for 2022 reflects a modest increase in expenses to support our new family ministries coordinator, our existing staff, and of course our building, grounds, utilities, and other necessities.
The final step will be an All-Church Conference on December 5 to approve the 2022 budget.
