The name given to the Christ child. Many have seen Jesus as this divine exception&#8230;a more than human human. After all, Jesus is (as it says in Hebrews) &#8216;the fullness of God in human form&#8217;. But the scriptures also make it clear that while Jesus is &#8216;fully God&#8217;, Jesus is also &#8216;fully human&#8217;. There is an exceptionalism to Jesus. And yet, there is nothing exceptional about him at all. The INCARNATION is about God coming near. Maybe that&#8217;s what God has always been trying to do. Maybe that has always been the point. Maybe the divine is always coming near and it&#8217;s not God that&#8217;s been keeping distance, but us. It\u2019s been great to connect with one another and share good food and good fun. In December we have the Advent Dinner on December 11th and encourage families to sign-up for a great night.
