People in positions of power, like King Herod, were fearful of what the new Messiah might do to their status quo. Could we be more like King Herod than we are comfortable admitting? Could the presence of love and justice upend the status quo of our lives? How does fear impact whether or not we truly embody the way of Jesus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Author Kate Bowler has created an Advent Devotional<\/em> for this season. This devotional creatively connects to her wonderful book Good Enough<\/em><\/strong> that many engaged last spring. Due to the busyness of this season (with our anniversary and staffing changes), we did not create a unique PEACE advent calendar. We hope to bring this back in years to come. But be on the lookout for some of the artistic and creative project videos that have been highlights of the advent calendar in future Tuesday News emails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
