The Process Begins: Our Church Profile<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
February 17, 2022

About 3 weeks ago, we all received the news of Pastor Gary’s plans to retire.\u00a0 Such mixed emotions for us all came with that announcement. Sadness that Gary is leaving, appreciation for all of the gifts that Gary has shared with us over the past 11 years, excitement for Gary and Peace UMC about the next steps for all of\u00a0us.

To get started, a committee was formed to begin the process of working with the conference to find clergy candidates.\u00a0 The first step was to complete a Church Profile.\u00a0 This document is filled with details of the surrounding community, church history, mission statements, current and future ministry goals, leadership needs and much more.\u00a0 The group has diligently worked to provide\u00a0the clearest vision of who we are.\u00a0\u00a0

A big thank you goes out to all of the committee members for the hours of work put into building this document:

The\u00a0Church Profile<\/a>\u00a0will be used as a tool for both the conference and potential clergy to understand what makes Peace UMC special and unique.\u00a0 Once the profile is complete it will be shared with potential clergy.\u00a0\u00a0

The committee is planning to hold listening sessions on Sunday March 6th and 13th, after the service.\u00a0 We welcome you in to ask any questions, give us comments, help us form questions that we can ask potential clergy.\u00a0\u00a0

Throughout the process we will continue to give updates on progress on filling Gary’s big shoes!\u00a0
