Welcome to Music at Peace
An infusion of uplifting musicMusic at Peace is flexible and eclectic. In the past, Peace Church has provided wonderful opportunities for children in music, presented fine productions of major musicals like “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and brought the community together to support our local food shelf with special Thanksgiving Food Shelf Benefit Concerts.
We have also hosted concerts by Bobby Jo Valentine and Sara Thomsen and enjoyed their participation in our worship. Fall 2019 saw two benefit concerts–one by pianist Don Irwin for the Good Neighbor Center and anothert by Beatle’s tribute band Rubber Soul for the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf.
What’s your idea? What’s your talent? Together, we can find a way for you to bring it to fruitful expression!

The Ringers of Peace
High school-adult ages participate in one worship service per month (September through May) and also occasionally present concerts in the church and in the community.
Anyone who is interested can play handbells at Peace Church. It helps if you can read music and have had some musical training, but this is not required! Anyone who wants to learn will be coached and privately tutored if desired.
Peace Church has also had handbell groups for children and youth in the past. For many years, there was also a very active music program (MusiKids) for elementary-aged children. And there have also been both traditional youth choirs and a youth band. Such groups can be formed again with available leadership and adequate interest.
Ringers CD
The Ringers of Peace have produced a CD titled “A Dazzling Bouquet” as a fundraiser for UMCOR. If you would like to learn more about this project and/or buy a copy please contact us!

Your time to shine in musical worship
summer music volunteers
Help with Summer Worship Music
Before the pandemic, Peace had a tradition of inviting the musicians of the congregation to volunteer to help provide worship music for the congregation on summer Sundays in the absence of our regular volunteer groups, the Celebration Chorale and Ringers of Peace. With this message, we hope to establish this tradition once again.
Summer is a great time for musicians who don’t have time during the regular program year to commit to volunteer music groups to contribute, but anyone is welcome to sign up and contribute. Soloists are welcome, or you may recruit friends to form a small group. Instrumental and vocal contributions, in any combination are welcome. We will be as flexible as possible.
The process is simple.
- Pick one or more summer Sundays to volunteer using the SignUpGenius link below.
- Work with Dave to decide what music would be appropriate.
- Get together prior to your Sunday for rehearsal time with Dave and/or others in your group.
- Enjoy making your musical contribution to worship on your selected Sunday(s).
