On Thursday August 4, 2021, the Peace Leadership Council approved the purchase of two large monitors and two lift rolling carts along with materials to install them for $18,235.20. Peace had been exploring the purchase of video technology since 2017 upon the recommendation of a consulting process we went through during the school year of 2015-2016.
These items were purchased solely with a $4,000 grant from the Minnesota Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, money from Peace Memorial Funds, and individual donations; much of it was designated for this project. This move toward integrating video capabilities will allow us to enhance our worship experience. Purchasing the rolling carts will also allow us to move the monitors throughout the building for multipurpose use. I look forward to the monitors enhancing the mission and ministry of Peace Community of Faith.
A motion was also made and approved that the Steering Committee bring a long-range recommendation to the Peace Leadership Council for the strategic implementation of this new opportunity. Together we move forward as a people of faith.
