Stewardship Update
Defying Gravity: Soaring into Hope
Thank you to all of you who have diligently considered and submitted your financial commitment for 2022 during our recent stewardship campaign.

As of today, Peace has received 47 commitments totaling $167,404, or 63% of our budget goal for 2022. Rental revenue should cover about another 12% of our budget.

Please come and stay after worship on Sunday, December 5, for the annual All-Church Conference (Congregational Meeting) to discuss and vote on the 2022 budget, 2022 leadership, and re-financing of our mortgage (necessary because the new credit union that has assumed our mortgage requires updated documents in order to be in compliance with new regulations).

Two commitment reminders:
Make your dollars go farther – If you haven’t yet considered making automatic recurring payments through our SimpleChurch online giving program, this is a great time to jump onboard. For every gift from a new recurring donor that is added between Nov 1 and Dec 31, with the first payment made in December, SimpleChurch will match that first gift, up to $50 per gift, with a maximum of $1000 for our church.

Remember to update your bank or other financial institution (including SimpleChurch) if you decide to increase or otherwise change the amount of your payments in 2022. (Submitting the commitment form only does not constitute a financial arrangement for transfer of funds to Peace.)

Poinsettia time!
Order now to get a poinsettia! Our sanctuary decorators have purchased 18 and they are in place already. You’re invited to reimburse Peace for one or more of these ($13 apiece), and we’ll order more if you request it. Please email Cindy (cindy@peaceumc.com) and tell her if you’d like red, white, or candy pink, and get the check or cash to her on Sunday (there’ll be an order form in the bulletin) or by mail. You may indicate if the plant is ‘in honor of’ or ‘in memory of’ someone special in your life. Please respond no later than Sunday, December 12.

In the past, we’ve also collected money to donate to our local Ralph Reeder Food Shelf. You’re welcome to donate to them directly at any time on their website.
