Welcome to our new pastor, Jason Steffenhagen!

If you haven’t met him yet, please take a few minutes after worship on Sunday to introduce yourselves.

You’re all invited to a bonfire (wiener roast and potluck), games and conversation following church on May 22nd in the outdoor worship area, weather permitting. This will be a time to get to know Pastor Jason, Michelle and their boys. Use this link to register your attendance and tell us how you can help.

Help with community yard work

Help seniors in our community get their yards ready for summer! Northeast Youth & Family Services (NYFS) is currently recruiting volunteers, and Peace is organizing teams to help. Work will be conducted according to current COVID-19 safety protocols to protect both volunteers and seniors. Tasks may include raking leaves, mowing lawns, weeding, trimming and putting out lawn furniture. If you’d like to help out on May 21st, from 9 am to around noon, please contact Chuck Monroe at at 763-486-0213 or cnlmonroe@comcast.net.

Thanks for considering this opportunity to serve our neighbors.

Last Saturday, we did a lot of mulching!

Trustees’ Peace workday

The Trustees’ annual spring workday will be held on Saturday afternoon, May 21. Contact Tim Fried (651-600-1316) to help clean out the garage.

Is there a graduate in your family?

Let us know so we can celebrate with you! Send us a (digital) photo of your graduate along with the name of their school and plans for the future. Send them right away if possible but, please, no later than May 29. We’ll gather these together for a special email in early June and a recognition of all our graduates on Sunday, June 5.

May is one of those months with 5 Sundays

This is your opportunity to help Peace Church chip away at the principal on its mortgage. You may choose to contribute to Fifth Sundays online (go to the Participants page of our website, note the ‘Donate’ area, log into Simple Church, and click the Fund dropdown to select Fifth Sunday). Or if you prefer, put a check in the plate on Sunday or mail one to the church office with ‘5th Sunday’ written in the memo line. Thank you!

Good Neighbor Meal has a new link

The next Good Neighbor Meal is coming up on May 14. Please use the new, updated link here to check that no one who signed up with the old link got left off when the new one was created. The link is also being updated on the Connections and Partnerships page of our website.
